Suffusing

Manifest certainty

Intermittent beats-
Elongated
By stifled breaths-

Faith
Exists.
Even now,
As I scoff at its mis-direction,
A swift, tacit
Prayer
Stems from my lips.
A vain hope for
Reconciliation
Of the mutually
Exclusive.
