Virgin Tongue

My virgin tongue
Has lost its innocence
It’s sworn for much less noble purposes than the truth
It’s said oaths much less honorable than to protect
Words have been uttered in my mind
I never thought would be
Already its new-found corruption
Is regretted by my purity
Which hopes that I will slowly return
From the abyss which temporarily swallowed me.
